Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in presenting lesson plans and providing one-on-one tutoring to students needing extra help.
- Manage student behavior during transitions, lunch periods, and recess.
- Support special education students with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities according to their IEPs.
- Prepare classroom materials, grade basic assignments, and maintain attendance records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s Degree, or 60 semester hours of college credit, or a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
- High School Diploma/GED required as a baseline.
- Exceptional patience and strong communication skills for dealing with youth.
