Position Overview
The Women’s Probation Detention Center in Claxton is hiring a Correctional Officer 1 to maintain custody, security, and order at this minimum-security probation detention facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain custody and security of probationers housed at the facility.
- Enforce institutional policies, rules, and procedures.
- Supervise probationer work details and daily activities.
- Screen visitors and monitor facility entrances and grounds.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and any combination of training and experience meeting Georgia P.O.S.T. minimum standards.
- Preference given to applicants 21 or older, with one year of correctional officer experience or an associate’s degree in criminal justice or a related field.
- Must pass a background check and complete P.O.S.T. certification requirements.
