In a joint Registered Apprenticeship Program between Coastal Pines Technical College and Satilla REMC, this entry-level position allows trainees to earn an hourly wage while acquiring their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Key Responsibilities

• Attend part-time classroom and simulation instruction at Coastal Pines Technical College.
• Shadow experienced utility drivers to learn DOT regulations, pre-trip inspections, and load securing.
• Safely maneuver commercial vehicles in controlled environments before advancing to public roadways.
• Commit to the designated employer for the duration of the apprenticeship training cycle.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be placed into entry-level Math and English per Coastal Pines Technical College admissions.
• Valid standard Georgia Driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must pass DOT physical and federal drug screening requirements.
